I think that if you are still just a little bit childlike, receiving a Santa Claus Christmas card will bring all the Christmas joy into your mind.
I know it does that to me, because just working with repairing these vintage Santa Claus cards has made me hum all the old Christmas songs while working, and I suddenly quite enjoy when darkness falls (and it does that rather early already!).
His eyes — how they twinkled! His dimples, how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
and the beard on his chin was as white as the snow.
~ Clement C. Moore
Alas! How dreary would be the world if there was no Santa Claus! There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence.
~ Francis P. Church

I am not so fond of the idea of Santa dividing children into groups of bad and good children, and I hope it is not so widespread anymore, but if you don’t take the idea too seriously, it is a charming Christmas card.

Some funny and thoughtful sayings about Santa and Christmas:
‘It was the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.
~ Clement C. Moore
Santa Claus is anyone who loves another and seeks to make them happy; who gives himself by thought or word or deed in every gift that he bestows.
~ Edwin Osgood Grover
“Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmas-time.”
~ Laura Ingalls Wilder
“So I’ve started wearing sweatpants to bed because I really don’t need Santa seeing me in my underwear.”
~ Jeff Kinney
“Kids believe in Santa; adults believe in childhood. Ergo…adults should believe in Santa”
“If you really think there’s a Santa, why don’t you sit on the front steps all night in the freezing cold and see if he climbs down any chimneys tonight. Good luck. And since we’re a family that isn’t lucky enough to have a chimney, how would Santa get into our house? Does he bring a locksmith with him? And it probably would have to be a Jewish locksmith, because a Christian locksmith is going to want to be home with his family. And how many Jewish locksmiths are there? None.”
~ Lewis Black
